Norwegian Cruise Line offering 50% off summer cruises from US ports
Ahead of the Fourth of July, Norwegian Cruise Line launched a summer cruise sale offering 50% off close-to-home voyages from 15 convenient ports across the continental U.S. and Canada, plus kids sail free on select sailings.
Last-minute deals are available on a variety of cruise itineraries from easy-to-reach U.S. ports to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, and Alaska. Families looking for fun in the sun can find three-, four-, and seven-day cruise options across four ships sailing from Miami and Port Canaveral. Most every itinerary includes a visit to the cruise line's recently enhanced private island in The Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.

The updated island now includes a lagoon pool area, kids' splash pad, and more. Families who snag a deal on one of Norwegian's September sailings to The Bahamas can be among the first to visit Great Stirrup Cay's new Great Tides Waterpark, which opens Sept. 4, 2026. Norwegian's short getaways to The Bahamas start at $349 per person.
"Summer is the perfect time for families to reconnect, recharge and explore," said Norwegian Cruise Line President Marc Kazlauskas. "Whether guests want to island hop in the Caribbean or explore the scenic landscapes of Alaska, Norwegian gives travelers the freedom and flexibility to plan their dream vacation at sea."
Fourth of July sales from MSC Cruises and Margaritaville at Sea feature kids sail free offers
Kids sail free offers on summer cruises are also available with MSC Cruises, a global line with a growing presence in the U.S., and Margaritaville at Sea, a Florida-based cruise line that's become a favorite for easy-breezy family escapes.
Now through July 4, MSC Cruises is offering a Fourth of July sale for U.S. residents featuring up to 40% off cruises, kids sail free on select sailings, and extra savings of up to $250 off on cruises from U.S. home ports like Port Canaveral and Miami. Prices start at $219 per person for a three-night Bahamas cruise from Miami.

Margaritaville at Sea is also offering a Fourth of July flash sale that invites third and fourth guests in a stateroom to sail free on select dates. Cruise fares start at $179 for a three-night cruise to Nassau, Bahamas from Palm Beach on Margaritaville at Sea Paradise.
Families looking for a last-minute summer getaway can find free guests offers on select five- and seven-night Mexico and Western Caribbean itineraries sailing from Tampa on Margaritaville at Sea Islander, the ship named best for families in the 2025 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards.
What to know before booking a kids sail free deal
As you consider summer cruise options for your family, keep in mind that kids sail free offers don't mean that a cruise is entirely free for kids (or third and fourth guests) in your stateroom. While the cruise fare is $0 for the free guests, each passenger must still pay government fees and taxes in order to set sail. Daily gratuities will also be charged to your onboard account for each person in your stateroom.
Not sure which cruise line and sailing is right for you? A knowledgeable travel agent specializing in cruises is a great resource who can help find the best deal on a ship and itinerary that will suit your family's vacation style.
"Our travel agents do a good job helping last-minute cruisers find the right option, even when available rooms are limited," said Dennis Post of Postcard Travel Planning, Come Cruise With Me's travel agent partner. "We recommend booking six to 12 months ahead for the Caribbean for the best availability and pricing, but last-minute deals are sometimes available if you're flexible."
