IKEA Just Dropped Its Most Modular, Eclectic and Whimsical Furniture Collection Yet
After dropping hints for weeks, IKEA has finally unveiled the full IKEA PS 2026 collection, with more than 40 unique home decor and furniture pieces designed by 12 different designers.
While IKEA may be known for its functional, no-nonsense, build-it-yourself furniture pieces, the brand believes that its PS collections are "where designers have been given the freedom to test bold ideas in form, material and function." Specifically, the PS 2026 collection is all about "playful functionality" and the idea that "simplicity doesn't have to be boring."

IKEA PS 2026 Is All About Modular, Multipurpose Furniture
When it comes to furniture, the PS 2026 collection is focused on pieces that can serve multiple purposes in small spaces.
First off, there are the previously-announced - and rightfully buzzed-about! - bright green chair with an inflatable seat and back cushion ($199.99), rocking pine bench ($159.99) and modular floor uplighter lamp ($49.99), which are already listed on IKEA's website.
But today, IKEA PS 2026 revealed a few other unique furniture pieces, including:
- A 3-seat sofa-bed
- A cabinet with woven pine veneer doors
- A 1970s-inspired chair-bed (seen above)
- A solid wood folding table
- A cake-inspired, four-story rolling trolley
- A hand-woven rattan footstool with hidden storage
- A glass-door cabinet with a printed pink grid pattern, imitating the look of an open metal cabinet (seen below)
IKEA PS 2026 Also Has One-of-a-Kind Home Decor
The PS 2026 collection also includes plenty of fun and whimsical home decor, such as:
- A submarine-inspired red table clock (seen above)
- Funky glass-blown vases
- Rugs printed with a "blooming ink technique"
- A cloud-like pendant lampshade
- Abstract face-shaped wall art, made from 90 percent recycled paper
- An asymmetric metal floor mirror (seen below)
"IKEA PS has always looked toward how people want to live and what they need from the objects around them," IKEA said in a statement. "The collection reflects how many people live today: in homes that are constantly shifting and asked to do many things at once."
How to Shop IKEA PS 2026 Online and In Stores
The IKEA PS 2026 collection will be sold in IKEA U.S. stores starting on Thursday May 14 through Wednesday, May 27. Then, starting Thursday, May 28, you can shop the collection on IKEA's website. Prices range from $4.99 to $499.
In the past, IKEA has promoted many PS products to permanent offerings in IKEA stores, so there's always a chance that popular PS 2026 items could be promoted, too.
