Rescue Staffy Gets Worried When Her Humans Go in the Pool-And It's So Sweet
Pool season is almost here. It's only in the 60s where I am, so I wouldn't even dream of getting in a pool right now, but the time is coming! For some, it's already here, and they're living their best lives.
For one family, living their best lives apparently means driving their sweet Staffy crazy. They love getting in the pool, but every time they do, she loses her marbles. In a past life, I'm pretty sure she was a lifeguard:
@lilinkwell She said it was NO 15 minutes ago & its NO NOW!!! #staffy#dog#rescue#law#pool

Moro the Staffy is so sweet. She's a rescue, and she's been in her forever home for about 2.5 years now! She was an abused, abandoned breeding dog, and her previous home had clipped her ears, too. All signs pointed to her being traumatized, aggressive, and difficult.
That's just not the case. She's as sweet as can be, and she loves everyone. The only time she even really raises her voice is when she hears her favorite humans getting in the pool! She doesn't like it, okay? She just wants everyone to be safe!

If there's one human she especially doesn't want getting in the pool, it's her daddy. He's her favorite, mostly because he gives the best belly rubs:

He'd better stay away from that pool entirely. Honestly, maybe he should stay away from all water sources, just to be safe. That's definitely the way Moro would like it!
Staffies Are Natural Protectors
Staffordshire Terriers are some of the most underrated, overhated dogs in the world. It's unfortunately common for breeds like these: people see pups with big, blocky heads and huge mouths and assume the worst.
Staffordshire Terriers are strong-willed, independent dogs. However, they also love their people: if you want one, you need to be prepared for some antics! These dogs often:
- Whine.
- Yell.
- Cry.
- Sit on you.
- Firmly tell you what to do.
They don't know personal space in any way, and if someone comes at you too fast... Good luck! They'll do anything they have to in order to protect the people they love!
