Bull Terrier Missed His ‘Blankie' So Much, He Climbed in the Dryer to Snuggle It
It's not uncommon for dogs to have a favorite thing. What they choose is going to depend on lots of factors; one rescue dog, for example, chose a bucket because it was the only toy he's ever had. However, for a lot of dogs, it's either a blanket or a toy.
One Bull Terrier definitely chose a blanket. It's his favorite thing in the entire world, but unfortunately, it needs to be clean. His mom ran it through the washer and dryer... But he was not having it, and ended up deciding that desperate times call for desperate measures:

Kabuki's World apparently revolves entirely around that blanket, as it should. This looks like it was an entire load of his things in the washer, since there's a toy in there as well! After the dryer had run, he hopped right in to snuggle his best blankie friend!
It was nice and warm, which only made it more enticing. He jumped right in and tucked his nose in, completely unaware that what he was doing was absolutely wild. All he cared about was getting his blanket back.

Kabuki needs his blanket to relax. Every day, he spends all day causing chaos and trying to make everything as crazy as possible. Luckily, with so many siblings, it's not hard at all:

He's either hopping in the dryer or running around outside. Those options seem so tiring, but I know their mom just adores all of her furry friends. Chaos and all!
Keeping Pets Safe In the Laundry Room
Dryers are warm, and washers make lots of funny noises. These machines can be very enticing to lots of pets, not just dogs, but they can also be incredibly dangerous. Safety practices are vital.
Ideally, you should put a gate up in your laundry room or keep the door shut to keep curious animals at bay. However, that's not always an option, and a willful pet will find a way! Before you shut and turn on the laundry machines, you should:
- Do a headcount and make sure everybody is accounted for.
- Bang your hands on the machines to hopefully make enough noise to rouse them if they're in the mix.
- Put clothes/blankets in one at a time so you can make sure no one is hiding in them.
It's better to be safe than sorry. Luckily, Kabuki is a little too big to go unnoticed, even when he's wrapped up in his blankie!
