A man whose shooting death led to the arrest Sunday night of two men and a woman on murder charges was identified Monday at Bernabe Dubon, 62.

Sunday night, police charged Khalil Knight, 22, and Kenneth Gibbs, 21, and Monet Wise, 23, with murder. All three are from Durham, police spokesman Wil Glenn in a news release.

Knight also was charged with armed robbery.

Officers responded to the shooting the intersection of Fidelity Drive and Fiske Street at 8:40 a.m. Sunday.

They found Dubon on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He died a short time later at Duke University Hospital, officials said.

Police said Monday that Dubon lived in Durham, but it was not clear whether he lived in the area where he was shot.

Police asked anyone with additional information about the incident to call Investigator E. Ortiz at 919-560-4440, ext. 29337, or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
