Armed robbery suspect Demonte Gatewood surrendered to police Wednesday.
He was being held in the Durham County jail in lieu of $350,000 bond.
In the incident in question, three men kicked in the front door of an apartment at 311 S. LaSalle St. around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 22. The apartment was occupied by two adults and two children. The suspects pointed a gun at the residents and demanded money. The suspects fled with an Xbox game system.
Gatewood, 21, was charged with three counts of assault by pointing a gun, one count of first-degree burglary, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. The other two suspects have not been identified.
