Midnight Traveler (10 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) - In the national television debut of this acclaimed POV documentary, Afghan director Hassan Fazili — with a bounty on his head by the Taliban — documents his family’s journey from Afghanistan to Germany, revealing the dangers facing refugees seeking asylum. The film, which debuted this year at the Sundance Film Festival, has been nominated for the IFP Gotham Awards for Best Documentary, and for Cinema Eye Honors.
