‘Avengers: Doomsday' Leaks Featuring Doctor Doom, X-Men Get Taken Offline

Within the past several weeks, the internet erupted when “Avengers: Doomsday” leaks arrived, seemingly showing unfinished scenes featuring characters in the film, including the villain Doctor Doom, several X-Men, and other Marvelsuperheroes.

The footage was pixelated and immediately sparked debates about its legitimacy, with some questioning whether the footage was AI-generated rather than from the studio.

The leaks remained online up until this weekend, when they were taken down from social media platforms and replaced with a note about “copyright” issues, which seemed to suggest Marvel caught wind of the leaked footage making the rounds.

“This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner,” reads a message on social media posts sharing what they indicated was a leaked clip from “Doomsday.”

Some of the leaked footage included a scene featuring familiar Avengers like Thor and Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. X-Men’s Nightcrawler, Beast, Gambit, and Cyclops are also there, as well as Shang-Chi for this film, and other New Avengers.

Another clip shows members of the Avengers and X-Men battling Doctor Doom and the Sentinels. However, some individuals have suggested that it is likely a deleted scene from the final “Avengers: Doomsday” film.

According to the YouTube channel Emergency Awesome, any potential leaked footage that went online is unfinished and also might not be part of the final cut, as they’ll make edits and changes before the film’s release later this year.

However, the channel’s creator indicated there is a wraparound shot of the various superheroes together, which is very similar to what fans saw with the Avengers team in the first team movie, so it seems like something monumental that could be in the final film.

There’s clearly a lot of excitement as fans anticipate the return of their favorite characters. It’s also an opportunity to see comic book teams like the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men working together to stop Doctor Doom, portrayed by former Tony Stark/Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr., in the upcoming film and its sequel.

One has to hope that fans are getting closer to seeing an actual teaser or trailer from the film soon, rather than random leaks or AI-generated videos purporting to be scenes from the movie. Seeing the X-Men in an MCU film with other popular Marvel characters is going to be a treat best enjoyed in higher-quality video.

The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment, “Avengers: Doomsday,” arrives in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026.
