Brawl Stars and adidas Launch a Tournament, a Capsule Collection, and a Pop-Up - and It's the Game's First-Ever Apparel Skin Collab
Brawl Stars and adidas have announced a multi-phase partnership that is bigger than most gaming brand deals tend to be: a full in-game tournament with its own bracket structure, an entirely new game mode, the game's first-ever apparel skin collaboration, a junior clothing and footwear line launching August 1, and an in-person fan experience at Brooklyn Bridge Park that ends today. The partnership spans digital, retail, and the real world simultaneously - something you don't usually see with brands, even big ones like adidas.
The adidas Starr Cup and Super Ball Mode
The in-game event runs from June 18 through July 2. Starr Park has been transformed into a football battleground for the adidas Starr Cup, a two-week tournament where players choose teams and compete in daily matchups, progress through ranked stages, and build toward semi-finals and a final showdown. The final match uses the TRIONDA, the Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup26.
The tournament introduces Super Ball, a hypercharged evolution of Brawl Ball with three new mechanics that meaningfully change how the mode plays:
- Keeper Bots patrol the goal and block incoming shots. Get too close and they'll intercept before you can score.
- Charged Shot lets you hold to build a powerful shot that breaks through obstacles and damages enemies on contact, but you're completely vulnerable while charging, so timing matters.
- Timed Passes reward teamwork: pass chains build power, and adding a Super or Hyper at the right moment in a chain causes maximum damage. More coordination equals more firepower.
Playing Super Ball unlocks exclusive adidas skins for your Brawler. These are Brawl Stars' first-ever skins created in collaboration with an apparel brand. adiClub members (adidas' global loyalty program) can also redeem exclusive in-game rewards including pins, icons, and sprays through the adidas app during the event period.
The Starr Drop Unlocked Apparel Line
Starr Drop Unlocked, the joint apparel and footwear line from adidas Originals and Brawl Stars, hits select adidas stores and online on August 1 in junior sizing. The collection reimagines four of Brawl Stars' most iconic characters (Spike, Leon, Edgar, and Nita) in streetwear attire, with each piece designed around that character's personality and attitude.
The line includes tees, hoodies, Adibreak track pants, and track jackets. Hidden Brawl Stars easter eggs are embedded in the graphic prints throughout. The sneakers are the collector's piece: the Samba and Superstar silhouettes get character-specific textures, bold colors, and lace charms that add a physical sense of personality to each pair. A second collection is already confirmed for 2027.
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-Up
If you're in New York City this weekend, the adidas Home of Soccer event at Brooklyn Bridge Park is the live leg of this partnership. The Brawl Stars pop-up is set up on the official adidas pitch directly below the Brooklyn Bridge, open Saturday and Sunday (June 20-21) from 12pm to 10pm. The main draw is the interactive gameplay zone, where attendees can shoot penalty kicks against the Robo Keeper, a mechanical goalkeeper lifted straight from the game. There's also event merchandise and exclusive giveaways.
Brawl Stars is free on the App Store and Google Play. The adidas Starr Cup runs through July 2. The Starr Drop Unlocked apparel line drops August 1.
