Jelly Roll Makes Unexpected Career Move Amid Divorce From Bunnie XO

Jelly Roll is adding a new role to his growing résumé-late night TV host!

During the Thursday, June 18, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jimmy Kimmel announced that he would be taking his annual two-month summer hiatus.

"I'm taking the next two months off, this time voluntarily," Kimmel joked, referencing the controversy surrounding his comments about Charlie Kirk's death last September, which nearly led to the show's cancellation.

"We have assembled a potent group of hosts to fill in for me," the comedian added before revealing the star-studded list of names slated to host.

"Beginning with Tiffany Haddish, Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, Anthony Anderson, Jelly Roll-and as a special treat for our commander-in-chief, I asked one of his all-time favorites Rosie O'Donnell to be here to keep the hooks coming," Kimmel said.

The country star previously guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! for two episodes in July 2025.

The surprising career news comes shortly after it was revealed Jelly Roll, 41, filed for divorce from Bunnie XO, 46, after 10 years of marriage.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the singer filed for divorce in May in Tennessee, with sources noting that it was a "mutual decision by the two and a private family matter."

Jelly Roll later confirmed the news during a concert in Saratoga Springs, New York on June 18, and posted a clip of him discussing the couple's separation shortly after on his Instagram.

"I wasn't going to talk about this tonight, but while we're talking about liars, the internet is a liar too," Jelly Roll said. "This is the only time, and the only city, I'm ever going to speak about this so break your camera phones out now."

"Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends," he continued. "We spoke on the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on nobody."

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC, streaming the next day on Hulu.
