Metal Legend, 76, Stuns Fans with Heroic Activism - "Tell Your Politicians That You're Not Gonna Take it Anymore."

Despite all the darkness of the music and lyrics, some of the kindest people in the music industry are metal musicians. I've always believed that the association of dark lyrics and sounds are no indication of the personality beneath, and that some people are just interested in that sort of thing. Look no further than Geezer Butler, the legendary bassist of Black Sabbath, and the incredible activism he has been a part of.

Butler has a massive love of animals. The English artist has been supporting animal charities and organizations for a long time, and is even a vegan himself. About a month ago, Butler joined the Beagle Freedom Project for their Ridglan Release event, which was a massive step forward in the fight for ending animal experimentation.

For those of you who don't know, beagles are bred and used for all sorts of animal testing operations. Ridglan Farms was one of these breeding farms that supplied animals for testing, as well as conducting their own experiments on the animals at the farm. As of today, all the animals have been released from the farm following its closure, and now the BFP is looking for support to help rehabilitate and rehome all of these animals, and they've found a wonderful spokesperson in Geezer Butler.

"Tell your politicians, whoever they are, that you're not gonna take it anymore," Butler urged at the end of the video. It's a powerful cause that is sure to be bolstered by such a big voice coming in support behind it. Fans were flocking to the comments with support and thanks for the gesture to end animal experimentation.

"Thank you Geezer. 🙌"

"Thank you for speaking up for all these pups. 🐶 You Rock! ❤️🙏"

"Very cool! Thank you @geezerbutler and thank you Beagle Freedom! Glad to be a monthly supporter of all of the fantastic work you all do."

There's still a lot of work to be done in the long fight against animal cruelty. If you are able, try to help out and get these Beagles to a safe home.
