"Welcome back!" Today co-host Craig Melvin said after the show returned from a commercial break. "8:30 now on this beautiful Wednesday morning, the 6th of May. A fun crowd starting their day on the corner of Rockefeller Center."

He then added, "Savannah had to leave a little early. She'll be right back tomorrow, though."

Parade reached out to NBC but did not immediately hear back.

On social media, Today viewers reacted to Savannah leaving early, with many expressing support and wondering whether it had to do with Nancy. One X user suggested, "Maybe she needed a minute."

Nancy was last seen at her Tucson home on the evening of Jan. 31. As of writing, no suspect has been named in the case despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward.
