A stabbing left a man dead in Durham on Saturday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Foushee Street, just north of Interstate 85, according to police.

Responding officers found a man with a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

As of Jan. 3, the latest statistics available, there had been one criminal homicide reported in Durham this year.

Durham averaged 44 homicides a year from 2020-2024, according to police statistics.
