The Chapel Hill Police Department says a missing woman who was believed to be in danger has been safely found.
Lynn Chesson, 69, was last seen around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Shady Lawn Road and Eastwood Road.
Investigators were concerned because Chesson has Alzheimer’s disease and had asked residents in the Shady Lawn Road area to check security camera recordings, and any outbuildings or other places on their property where someone might take shelter.
