Rachel Nichols Gives Insight To 'Loud' Boos Heard During Game 3
Rachel Nichols doesn't hold back on the boos she heard during Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Monday night.
The Knicks hosted the Spurs at Madison Square Garden for Game 3. San Antonio topped New York, bringing the series to 2-1. Game 4 is set for Wednesday night, once again live from Madison Square Garden.
President Trump is not expected to attend. The President of the United States attended Game 3 as a guest of James Dolan. However, he was booed - fairly loudly - during the national anthem.
President Trump, meanwhile, made it clear that he feels that he was mostly cheered inside of Madison Square Garden. President Trump is a native New Yorker and a lifelong Knicks fan.
"I thought it was very good. It was certainly amazing. I think mostly cheers. It was loud. And it was very enthusiastic," he told reporters.
Nichols was inside of the building for Game 3
Nichols, the former ESPN NBA host, reacted to President Trump getting booed inside of the arena on Monday night.
She said that she hadn't heard boos like that in a while.
"Louder than the boos for the Spurs, louder than any boos I've heard in this building in a while," she shared on X.
Wembanyama and the Spurs, meanwhile, got a huge win to make this a series.
"I really tried to relax," Wemby said postgame. "The playoffs, it's like a whirlwind. It's hard to put your head out of the water. Sometimes, I don't even have time to watch the games back right away. I need some time off to let my brain cool down, recover. Recover as much for the body as for the mind."
Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals series is set for Wednesday night. It'll air live on ABC at 8:30 p.m. E.T.
