A North Carolina foster care worker has been charged with statutory rape of a 14-year-old boy over a nearly month-long period.

Tiffany Lynn Forscutt, 32, of Marion is charged with statutory rape/statutory sex offense and sex act by a governmental or private institutional employee, according to a news release from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.

Forscutt worked for Clear Sky Behavioral, a therapeutic leadership academy for boys in Marion, according to The McDowell News.

The company’s mission “is to mold children and adolescents in ways that will promote their desire to be successful adults,” according to its website.

Marion is a town of about 8,000 people roughly 95 miles northwest of Charlotte.

Forscutt’s bond was set at $250,000, WRAL reported.

One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually abused before they turn 18 years old, according to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.
