2 indecent-exposure incidents reported in Durham neighborhood

Durham police are investigating two reports of indecent exposure in the Trinity Park neighborhood over the last two weeks.

On Sept. 22, a woman reported a man asked her about the weather around 3 p.m., and then walked into the park and started masturbating in front of her and her children, said Wil Glenn, a Police Department spokesman. The police report says the incident took place on the 1000 block of West Trinity Avenue, but the neighborhood park is located at 410 Watts St.

An email to the Trinity Park listserv said the incident took place at the Trinity Park park. It says the man sat down on the same park bench as the woman.

The woman described the man as white and in his 30s with reddish-orange hair. She said he was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds. The man was on a green motorized scooter.

Another incident was reported to police Sept. 18.

A woman who was walking home around 7:53 p.m. said a man pulled up in a red pickup truck and was masturbating inside his vehicle near the intersection of Watts Street and Monmouth Avenue.

The driver then drove off and circled back to where she was, she told police.

The man was described as a white man in his 50s with grayish-black hair. The man was wearing a bright neon shirt.
