Resilient Together Parent Social Support Group

Are you a parent who has lost a child as a result of a substance use disorder? Please come join us. Resilient Together, an affiliate of Durham TRY Coalition, is a group of parents who are joining together to support each other, promote substance use prevention, and encourage recovery for those afflicted with this horrible disease. Please bring a picture of your child and if you would like, any book, saying, song, prayer, or other resource that has comforted you in your ongoing journey of such incredible loss. Records of a state investigation into supervision of Jean Carolyn McGirt found a lack of documented checks in that area the day of her death. The jail has responded by increasing the checks, and with plans to electronically document them in the unit as they do elsewhere in the facility.
