UPDATE: Durham police find missing 14-year-old
Durham police said they found 14-year-old Shania Mitchell-Smith Thursday. She apparently had run away from the Comfort Inn on Hillandale Road last week.
Mitchell-Smith is described as a black woman, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 100 pounds. She was wearing gray sweatpants, a black hoodie with a white print on the front and red high-top Air Force One sneakers. She was carrying a leopard print duffle bag filled with clothes and a black and gray backpack containing a laptop when she left the hotel around 8 p.m. Dec. 13.
