A second teenager was charged Tuesday in connection with a July 12 fatal shooting on Whitley Drive near Rockwood Park.
Investigators charged Tyrece Jaquail Pettiford, 16, with murder, attempted murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Officers found Denzel Holloway, 27, dead and Holloway’s 17-year-old cousin wounded when they arrived at Whitley Drive at 5:40 p.m. July 12. Holloway, a father of a 2 1/2 year old, lived with his grandmother in Parkside in a two-story home.
The name of the 17-year-old, who is expected to survive, has not been released.
Pettiford was charged at the Durham County Jail, where he was incarcerated on prior robbery and weapons charges taken out by the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
Those charges included robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun in connection with a July 3 armed robbery at the Subway at 1534 South Miami Boulevard.
“Pettiford was also charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun in connection with a June 15 incident in Durham County,” Michael said. “He was arrested on the DCSO charges on July 13 and placed in Durham County Jail under a $300,000 bond.”
As of July 14, there had been 14 homicides in Durham plus one fatal officer-involved shooting this year, according to Police Department spokeswoman Kammie Michael. There were 22 homicides by that date last year.
