Kamari’s mother, Felicia Parker, had stated she knows who shot her son. The Police Department declined to answer questions about the case, and no additional details of the arrest are available at this time.
Police have interviewed several people and are aggressively working to identify the people involved, Police Chief C.J. Davis has said.
Kamari died Sunday after someone shot into a Honda Pilot around 5 p.m. Nine others in the SUV were not hurt.
The Pilot was heading north on on Hillandale Road near Peppertree Street after leaving Chapel Towers apartment complex, where Kamari and others had swum in the pool.
A witness told investigators that a vehicle occupied by several people started to follow the SUV, then pulled up next to it and someone fired several shots. A police officer performed CPR on Kamari, who later died at the hospital.
