Durham police identify man found shot to death on Elm Street

Police released the name Tuesday of a man found fatally shot Monday.

Durham police were called to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Elm Street shortly after 5 p.m. They found Thaddeus Darnell Holloway, 38, of Durham, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a Police Department news release.

No one had been charged as of Tuesday morning, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing, police say.

The city had 11 homicides as of April 6, according to the Police Department website. There had been five homicides by the same time last year.
