Belief Briefs: Join St. Titus’ Episcopal, St. Paul’s Lutheran and N.C. Central students for meal packaging event

St. Titus’ Episcopal Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Triangle Park Chapter of Links Inc. and N.C. Central University students will work together to package meals for Rise Against Hunger on Saturday, June 24. The meal packaging will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Titus’, 400 Moline St. Organizers are seeking 60 volunteers to help them package 10,152 meals in two hours. Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and aid. Churches host Men’s Day and Father’s Day events

Oak Grove United American Free Will Baptist Church will hold events this weekend to celebrate Men’s Day and Father’s Day. The church at 801 Colfax St. in Durham will host a breakfast fellowship at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, followed by a fellowship cookout at noon. The Men’s Day/Father’s Day service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 18. The guest speaker will be Rev. Marcus Marrow of Victory in Jesus Ministries in Hillsborough. Abriann Taylor and Reggie Reid won the inaugural children’s Bible trivia challenged held by Joyful Connections Corporation Inc. Joyful Connections also donated $200 to the Boys and Girls Club.
