What to Watch on Friday: Netflix releases ‘Making a Murderer: Part 2’

Making a Murderer Part 2 (Netflix) - The mega-hit “Making a Murderer” documentary series, about the trial of Wisconsin’s Steven Avery and his co-defendant nephew Brendan Dassey, returns with 10 new episodes giving viewers an in-depth look at the post-conviction process and the emotional toll the process takes on all involved. It’s by the same filmmakers as the original — Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos. Kathleen Zellner is now Avery’s defense attorney. (Also on Netflix today: British drama “Wanderlust,” starring Toni Collette; the first season of “Haunted,” which gives first-person accounts of people who witnessed horrifying events; the four-episode docu-series “Hip Hop Evolution”; and the third season of “Marvel’s Daredevil.”)

Treehouse Masters (8 p.m., Animal Planet) - Pete tackles the first climb-in movie theater where concessions are served through a pulley system. They also make a tree house for monkeys at the Los Angeles Zoo.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (9 p.m., The CW) - After making a spooky discovery, Rebecca convinces Paula, Heather and Valencia to participate in a seance.

Blue Bloods (10 p.m., CBS) - Police officers scramble to contain the chaos when New York City experiences a major blackout.
