DURHAM -- The Durham County Tax Administration Office is allowing residents to make payments on time by paying the bill in full or making installments from now until December with all taxes to be paid by Jan. 5.

To arrange a tax payment plan for real estate taxes, a resident must contact the Tax Administration Office prior to the payment becoming delinquent on January 5. If a resident does not make the agreement before the 2010 tax bill becomes delinquent, the resident no longer has the option to set up a payment plan.

Taxpayers can use one of many payment options offered by Tax Administration. E-Services, an online payment option, allows 2010 tax bills to be paid by credit card or by scheduling an electronic check payment. Instructions on how to pay by using e-services is located on the top portion of the tax bill. Information about e-services is also available at tax.durhamcountync.gov.

To obtain tax bill and parcel information, residents should visit the same site.

For more information regarding the 2010 tax bill, contact Durham County's Tax Call Center at (919) 560-0300.
