MEBANE -- Z-Bowl, a new family entertainment center, fresh off a sneak preview event on May 1, has put on the finishing touches and will open for business officially on Friday.
Serving customers will be local residents who were hired by Z-Bowl for a range of jobs, from cooks, wait staff and bartenders to game and lane attendants and management positions. To date, 63 employees have been added to the Z-Bowl staff. The new establishment features a bowling center with a Z.I.P. Suite for grown-up private parties and corporate events, as well as Za's bar and restaurant, a game room with 60 machines, small ball bowling lanes and special party rooms for children's birthday parties.
"We believed that Mebane was the best community for this new venture. And when we found such a good pool of prospective employees, right here in central North Carolina, we knew we came to the right place," said Roger Camp, manager of FEC Partners, LLC, developers of Z-Bowl.
Beginning this Friday, Z-Bowl will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Customers will find that everything in Z-Bowl is brand new: new bowling balls, new bowling shoes and a comfortable atmosphere with new furnishings and state-of-the-art equipment and scoring software for more games per hour.
Z-Bowl also offers new party options for both children and adults. Kids can have their birthday parties in decorated party rooms off the gaming room with food beverages, prizes, Z-Bowl tours, and bowling with or without bumpers. Grown-ups can experience an up-scale event in the Z.I.P. Suite with private bowling lanes, soft seating, an executive meeting area with board room, and a wide assortment of beers and wines.
