DURHAM -- Brandon D. Malone, 19, of Buxton Drive, was arrested and charged Friday with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of crack cocaine, maintaining a vehicle used to sell drugs and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Malone's first two charges stem from a handgun assault on Halloween. Friday's arrest was for allegedly possessing three grams, or 21 rocks, of crack cocaine. He was held on $65,000 bond.
Man charged with child abuse
DURHAM -- Corey N. Suggs, 41, of Newby Drive, was arrested Friday and charged with assault on a female, misdemeanor child abuse and communicating threats. He was held on $2,000 bond.
Assault, 911 call interference
DURHAM -- Marcus A. Keith, 20, of Wabash Street, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault on a female, communicating threats and interfering with emergency communication.
Keith allegedly pushed and choked his victim, called a third party for a gun, and grabbed the phone away when the victim was attempting to call 911. He was held without bond.
Man arrested with stolen gun
DURHAM -- Kevin D. Guy, 21, of LaSalle Street, was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of a stolen firearm, felony possession of cocaine, resisting an officer, communicating threats, assault on a female and assault by pointing a gun.
Guy allegedly threatened to kill his victim as well as assaulted her. According to the arrest warrant, he lied about the stolen revolver and ran away from the arresting officer. He was held without bond.
Woman charged in stabbing
DURHAM -- Latasha M. Adams, 36, of Fargo Street, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury for allegedly stabbing the victim in the arm with a steak knife. She was held on $30,000 bond.
Kidnapping, assault alleged
DURHAM -- David S. Simmons, 40, of Morreene Road, was arrested Friday and charged with assault on a female, common law robbery and second degree kidnapping.
Simmons allegedly struck and restrained his victim while stealing cell phones and lottery tickets. He was held without bond.
Arrest made in copper wire theft
DURHAM -- Julius D. Ewing, 35, of Liberty Street was arrested Saturday on charges of felony larceny, injury to real property, conspiracy to commit felonious larceny and resisting an officer. Ewing allegedly stole copper wire and damaged HVAC units belonging to Chesterfield Apartments on Jan. 27. He fled on foot from the scene. He was held on $6,000 bond.
Man arrested for assault, larceny
DURHAM -- Christopher D. Wilder, 31, of Emerald Forest Drive, was arrested and charged Thursday with assault on a female, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny and failure to appear on a misdemeanor.
The vehicle and larceny charges stemmed from a 2002 alleged theft of two tires and rims worth $1,200.
