WINSTON-SALEM -- Wake Forest handed N.C. Central its 16th loss of the season with a 76-63 win over the Lady Eagles.
MyKala Walker led Wake Forest with 15 points, while Asia Williams finished with 10.
Joanna Miller led N.C. Central with 29 points on 10 of 19 shooting. She made three 3-pointers.
Brooke Thomas opened scoring during the contest on Wake Forest's first possession and the Deacons jumped out to a 16-0 lead before Joanna Miller got the Lady Eagles on the scoreboard with a jumper at 13:18.
Mykala Walker, who surpassed her career-high eight points in the first half, netted a free throw at 8:09 to give Wake Forest a 17 point lead, the team's largest advantage of the half.
NCCU went on a 10-4 run at the three minute mark to cut the Wake Forest advantage to 42-31 going into the halftime break.
With 9:40 to play in regulation Lakevia Boykin landed a layup to give the Demon Deacons a 24-point lead, the team's largest of the game.
The Lady Eagles return home on Friday for a 6:30 matchup with Longwood.
