GREENSBORO -- A signature win early in Krzyzewski's tenure, the Blue Devils held off Michael Jordan and Co., sealing this ACC Tournament semifinal triumph when UNC's Matt Doherty turned the ball over in the final seconds. Sophomore Johnny Dawkins keyed the victory.

DURHAM -- This might be the ultimate stand by a underdog in the storied series, even though the underdog ultimately lost. With Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski benched by health concerns, the Blue Devils had lost seven straight ACC games but forced double overtime on a 30-footer by Jeff Capel at the buzzer -- only to fall short.

CHAPEL HILL -- The Tar Heels entered what would prove to be Doherty's final regular-season game as UNC's coach with a 5-10 record in ACC play, but Rashad McCants' 26 points powered the upset in Chapel Hill. Duke did beat UNC a week later on its way to the ACC Tournament title.

DURHAM -- Duke seniors J.J. Redick and Shelden Williams had won 57 of 59 games at Cameron Indoor Stadium but lost to a freshman on senior day. Tyler Hansbrough's 27 points and 10 recbounds helped the Tar Heels pull off the stunner.
