Price to discuss Rastafarianism

CHAPEL HILL -- Charles Price, associate professor of anthropology at UNC, will be at the Bull's Head Bookshop Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. to read from his new book "Becoming Rasta: Origins of Rastafari Identity in Jamaica."

Price is an associate professor in the Department of Anthropology at UNC. His research interests revolve around identity formation, community organizations and community organizing. The primary geographical focus of Price's current research is Jamaica and the American South.

The Bull's Head Bookshop is in the UNC Student Stores. All events at the Bull's Head are free and open to the public. Call 962-5060 for questions.

A critique and free coffee, too

CHAPEL HILL-- Bryant Simon, a UNC alumnus and Temple University professor and author, will read from his book "Everything but the Coffee: Learning about America from Starbucks," at the Bull's Head Bookshop in UNC Student Stores Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

"Everything but the Coffee" casts an eye on the world's most famous coffee company, looking beyond baristas, movie cameos, and Paul McCartney CDs to understand what Starbucks can tell us about America.

Free coffee from The Daily Grind coffee shop will be provided courtesy of the Bull's Head.
