UPS packages reported stolen

DURHAM -- Duke University police are investigating the theft of UPS packages outside students' doors at Bassett Dormitory on East Campus Tuesday. Two thefts occurred at 5:01 a.m., one at 9:41 a.m. and another at 9:42 a.m.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Duke police at (919) 684-2444, or Durham CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.

CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards from information that leads to an arrest in a felony case.

Thefts reported

DURHAM -- Copper worth $500 was stolen Saturday from an air conditioner in the 100 block of South Maple Street.

In other crime reported to police:

- A man reported being robbed of $50 Jan. 13 in the 2900 block of Holloway Street.
