DURHAM -- N.C. Central will try to end its eight-game losing streak tonight when it takes on Tennessee Temple at 8 p.m. in the fifth annual B.C. Powder Classic at McDougald-McLendon Gym.
The Eagles (2-15) are coming off a heart-breaking 58-55 loss to High Point on Monday night that saw NCCU rally from double digits down to lead in the final two minutes only to lose.
The first game today will have Chowan taking on the Apprentice School at 5:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Chowan will face Tennesee Temple, followed by NCCU and the Apprentice School.
NCCU coach LeVelle Moton said both teams his squad will face are very athletic.
It will mark the first time NCCU has played either of its opponents in the Classic.
NCCU's record in the the classic is 4-4.
