DURHAM -- Police are asking for information about two armed robberies -- one in November, the other in December -- at the Kangaroo convenience store at 3223 N.C. 55.
The first robbery was reported at 7:43 p.m. Nov. 22. Two masked men entered the store while a third man acted as a lookout by the front door. One man pointed a gun at the clerk and took money from the register. He also took the clerk's wallet and cash.
One suspect was described as black, wearing a black hooded sweater with "Yes We Can" on the back, blue jeans and a black mask. The second suspect was described as black, wearing a red mask, a red hooded sweater with "Brooklyn Express" on the back and black jeans. The lookout was wearing a black mask and a black hooded jacket.
The second robbery happened around 7:15 p.m. Dec. 20. A man entered the store and took cash and cigarettes at gunpoint. He was described as black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a large build. He was wearing a black hooded sweater with "Yes We Can" on the back, a black mask, dark jeans and black gloves.

Various property crimes reported
DURHAM -- A guitar and boxing gloves were among property stolen in recent thefts police are investigating.
Here are the details:
- Thieves broke into a home in the 400 block of Canal Street Jan. 7 and took a guitar, five nail guns, two saws, a keyboard and amplifier, stereo system, cell phone and DVD player, with a total value of $3,180.
- Boxing gloves and weight-lifting gloves were among items stolen from a car Friday in the 1000 block of Franklin Street. The property included a GPS unit, CD player and CDs, two bracelets and a gym bag.
- A man told police he was robbed Sunday in the 700 block of Hardee Street of his bicycle, clothes and $10.
- Burglars hit a home in the 600 block of Mimosa Street Sunday and took two televisions, a fur coat, jewelry and a handgun worth $3,350.
- A laptop computer, cooler and clothes worth $2,015 were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Vermel Court Tuesday.
