DURHAM -- No school has won more ACC Tournament titles and just three schools have won more NCAA Tournament games than Duke.
Today, the school will honor the team that earned the Blue Devils' first ACC Tournament title and its first NCAA Tournament game victory.
Duke will mark the 50th anniversary of its 1960 team in conjunction with tonight's ACC opener against Clemson (7:45 p.m., Fox Sports).
Not that much was expected out of legendary coach Vic Bubas' first Duke team, but after a 12-10 regular season -- including a 7-7 ACC record -- the Blue Devils won their first ACC Tournament and went on to win two NCAA tourney games to advance to the Elite Eight.
Duke now has 17 ACC Tournament titles, which is tied with UNC for first place, and 88 NCAA Tournament game victories.
Also, tonight's game will be the last before Cameron Indoor Stadium turns 70 years old. The Blue Devils made their debut in the building on Jan. 6, 1940, drawing 8,000 fans -- the most ever for a basketball game in the South at that time -- for their 36-27 victory over Princeton.
Duke is 745-150 at Cameron, including an 8-0 mark this season.
