Sarah Hope Fulkerson of Durham and Charles Mooney of Wilmington were married October 24, 2009 at 4 p.m. at the bride’s parents’ home in Hillsborough. The Rev. Mary McClintock Fulkerson, mother of the bride, officiated at the wedding. A reception immediately followed at Bay 7.

The bride is the daughter of Mary and William J. Fulkerson of Hillsborough. The groom is the son of Ellen and Tim Mooney of Wilmington.

The bride was escorted by her father. The bridesmaids were Judith Huffman, Leah Fulkerson, Emily Carmody, Samira Hull, Susannah Hurlburt, and Jennifer Hill.

The groomsmen were Steven Smith, Jason Mooney, William Fulkerson, Jeffrey Malpass, Jess Battle, and Thomas Suberman. The bride is a social worker at Duke. The groom works for Buckner Heavylift Cranes.

The couple honeymooned in the North Carolina mountains and now reside in Durham.
