Free H1N1 clinics slated

DURHAM -- The county Health Department will host free H1N1 vaccination walk-in clinics at several schools from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 9.

According to Durham County Health Director Gayle Harris, the school site H1N1 clinics, held in partnership with Duke University Health System, should attract many residents because the clinics will be held on the weekend and make it easier for people to access the locations situated in the heart of several neighborhoods.

"Traditionally, our clinics are held during the week," said Harris. "These clinics give busy families the opportunity to get everyone vaccinated right in their backyards."

The clinic sites will include: Hillside High School, 3727 Fayetteville Road; Riverside High School, 3218 Rose of Sharon Road; and Neal Middle School, 201 Baptist Road. Anyone can receive the H1N1 vaccination at the clinics, except children under six months old.
