CARRBORO -- Carrboro will be collecting Christmas Trees as part of its yard waste collection schedule.
The tree should be placed along the curbside and all ornaments and stands should be removed from the tree.
Curbside collection of yard waste is provided about twice per month according to the schedule below:
If your household trash is collected Monday or Tuesday, Your yard waste will be collected on the first and third Wednesday each month.
If your household trash is collected Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, your yard waste will be collected on the second and fourth Wednesday each month.
Library book sale today
CHAPEL HILL -- An after-Christmas book sale will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. today in the Chapel Hill Public Library lobby.
Hundreds of gift quality books including children's books, cookbooks, current and recent fiction, nonfiction, and everything North Carolina will be on sale.
Books will be one-half the price marked.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit Chapel Hill Public Library.
