DURHAM -- The Durham Chapter, Continental Societies. Inc., recently presented its "Lunch with Santa" program at area day-care centers.

For more than 20 years, the Durham Chapter, Continental Societies. Inc has provided Lunch with Santa to hundreds of children in the Durham community during the holiday season.

This year was no different; Santa Claus and his helpers pulled out the sleigh for their annual trip.

On Dec. 11, Santa, Coach Bradshaw and Santa's Continental Helpers visited three day-care centers in the Durham community.

During Santa's visits, more than 125 3-year-olds got an opportunity to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

Santa and his helpers also distributed goodie bags stuffed with cakes, books, crayons and fruit for each child.

The children's tiny faces were filled with smiles, excitement and joy.

Santa and his Continental Helpers are now on their way back to the North Pole to get ready for next year's "Lunch with Santa."
