ASHEBORO — A North Carolina judge is weighing whether to release police videos that captured the moments before a University of North Carolina fraternity president was fatally shot in August.

Superior Court Judge Brad Long heard arguments Friday from the family of 21-year-old Courtland Smith to have the videos from two Archdale police cars sealed. A decision could come next week.

The Randolph County judge has said neither video showed Smith being shot.
