HILLSBOROUGH -- Ebeneezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim are coming to a stage near you.
In what has become a holiday tradition, Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale, "A Christmas Carol," will once again be presented in the Hillsborough community. Two special performances will be presented by local authors Michael Malone and Alan Gurganus, and other artists.
The Burwell School Historic Site and St. Matthews Episcopal Church will be sponsoring this event. This year, there will be two performances at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 210 St. Mary's Road, Hillsborough, on two evenings -- Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. A light reception will follow both performances. Ticket prices are $15 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Tickets are limited, so reservations are recommended.
Call (919) 732-7451 for information or to reserve tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the Burwell School Historic Site, The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough (Dixon House), and the Hillsborough Wine Company.
Proceeds will benefit the enrichment and educational programming of the Burwell School Historic Site. Go to www.burwellschool.org for more information.
