HABITAT TIMELINE, FUNDRAISING
BEGINNING: Construction started at the beginning of the school year
END: It should be finished by March or April.
COMMUNITY BUILDS: Other community builds should take place on various Saturdays in the spring, with dates to be announced.
WHERE: The house itself is located at 451 Harper Road in Hillsborough.
PROGRESS: Currently, the house has walls, a roof and shingles, as well as windows and doors. The students will put up vinyl siding this week.

Fundraising endeavors
The Hands for Habitat Project is also funded by the F.M. Kirby Foundation, the Home Depot Foundation, the Partners in Sustainable Building, Orange County Affordable Housing Bond Program and Orange County HOME Program.
Other Orange County Schools' fundraising efforts include a basketball game between students and parents, a showing of Pursuit of Happiness, a jazz concert and a silent auction in Orange High School's main lobby from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.
