Brighten holiday of persevering mom's kids

Case 306: Hardship is no stranger to this mother of three, but she's determined to make a better life for her family. The death of two of the children's father and incarceration of the other child's father only makes her more determined to provide a happy and stable home environment. Despite the chronic illness of one child and being unemployed, she is attending school. A positive role model, she is proud of the fact that all of her children are doing well in school. Help her provide more than the basics this holiday season. Her 4 and 5 year old sons need clothing, sizes 6-8 and socks size 12; they'd both love to have a bicycle with training wheels, sports balls, a remote control truck, or educational toys. Her 12-year-old daughter is a budding photographer and would like to have a digital camera and pajamas, size XL. Mom only asks for pajamas size L and anything from Bath & Body Works.
Case 336: Minimum wage is doesn't go very far when you're raising four children alone. Help this struggling mom ensure a happy holiday for her kids. The 7-year-old twins, a boy and girl, would like anything for their age group and need socks; he would especially like a police car. Her 11-year-old son would like a CD Walkman, shirts & pants size 12/14, socks and underwear. Her 14-year-old daughter would like jewelry, socks, skinny leg pants size 12-13, underwear size 10-12, shirts size M, and makeup.
Case 337: In happier times, this elderly woman spent much of her time baiting hooks and reeling in fish. Now confined to a wheelchair, she is in desperate need of assistance this holiday season. She needs sweat pants and shirts, any color but white, size M; beige bathroom towels; and slippers in size 10.5 wide.
Case 338: Three under 3 - this single mother cares for 3-year-old twins and a newborn. Can you help make the holiday brighter for her kids? All need winter coats, sizes 4T, 5T, and 9-12 months; she also needs baby clothes, 9-12 months, baby toys, diapers & wipes. The twins love Diego and Dora the Explorer and need twin size comforter/sheet sets. Mom needs pajamas and slippers, size M; comforter/sheet set size full; bath towels, washcloths, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, and cutlery.
Case 339: Realizing that she needed to turn her life around for her kids, this single mom sought treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues along with training in parenting skills. Her infant and 4-year-old boys need baby clothing in sizes 9-12 months, socks, size 4 Pampers, toys and books, shirts in size 4 (especially ones with cars or trains), pants size 6, and socks. The 4 year old would love an art or train set or remote controlled car. Mom needs pants in women's 14-16, t-shirts and tops, socks, pots and pans, and drinking cups or glasses.
Case 340: Trying to make things better for her girls aged 4 and 10 months, this young mother is attending Durham Tech to finish her high school diploma in the hopes it will help her find a good job. She needs Pampers, clothing and educational toys for the baby; shirts and pants in 6T as well as a baby doll and any other age appropriate toys and games; pots and pans, and a queen size sheet set.
Case 341: Working part time and struggling to make ends meet, this young mother could use some help providing a nice Christmas for her 3-year-old daughter who loves Dora the Explorer. She'd like Dora toys and clothes in size 3T, and Mom needs clothes and jeans in size 9/10, tops in size M, bras in 38D and panties in size 7.
Case 343: Life is lonely for this 17-year-old who is very shy, possibly due to her facial disfigurement and slight lisp. She has the support of her mom who is also her best friend. Make the holidays special for them both by putting presents under the tree for Christmas morning. She'd like the Hannah Montana movie, a perfume and lotion set, slippers in size 7-8, a sweat shirt hoodie pullover size M, girls' teen size Hanes underwear size 5-6, and socks. Her mom asks for scented candles, body wash, and a nice picture to hang in the kitchen.
Case 344: Two little girls, ages 2 and 3, love Dora the Explorer and their mom, who just started working, would love some help putting smiles on their little faces on Christmas morning. The girls need clothes in sizes 3T and 5/6, socks and underwear, and any educational or Dora toys. Mom needs jeans size 16, tops in 1x, bras in 40DD and panties in 9.
Case 346: Raising five children alone at age 25 is a big challenge, especially for a mother who can't find work. The kids range from 1 to 10 years old and need clothing in sizes 24 months, 4/4, 8, 10 and 12. They'd also like baby dolls, books, writing supplies, scooters with head gear, board games, wrestling action figures, a soccer ball, an EZ Bake oven and bedding. The 6-year-old would love a Hannah Montana bedroom set, and mom needs bathroom and bedroom linens, a picture for the wall, and dishes.
Case 347: Mom to twins and another child of her own, this lady has also raised her niece, who now has an 18-month-old baby of her own. She's the sole support for a household of six, and presents will not be under the tree this year without some help. The family needs clothing in sizes 18 months, kids' 5 and 6/7, ladies ARE and 2X, boys' 14-16. All need coats, sizes 18 months, kids' 6 & 8, ladies' M, kids' 14, and ladies' XXL. The baby needs walking toys and the other kids would like an EZ Bake Oven, jewelry maker and basketball.
Case 348: Life was tough for this family of seven before the father lost his job and the mother became too ill to work. They need a winter coat and learning toy for a 15-month-old infant, size 2T; clothing and winter gear in sizes kids' 5, 10-12, Junior 5, and adult medium; socks and underwear; a winter coat in kids' size 10-12; and silverware for the family. The kids would enjoy a skateboard, rap CD, MP3 player, vanity set, bike for a 9 year old boy, dolls, and musical toys. Dad needs a kind size comforter and a bedroom mirror.
Case 349: Being elderly and living alone is hard enough without also being confined to a bed or wheelchair; that's what this lady lives with every day. Make Christmas a special day for her by providing a short coat size 3X, underwear in size 14 (she prefers white), socks in size 12, a queen size sheet set, baking pans, dish cloths, and towels.
Case 350: Keeping up with a 3-year-old is a big job, but this single mother does it while working on commission. Unfortunately, she doesn't make enough to buy gifts for Christmas, and could use your help. Her son wants a remote control helicopter and car, Diego toys, and needs clothes in size 6T. She could use a black and gold bed in a bag, king size, bathroom towel and mat set in black and white, and some pots and pans.
Case 96: This single mother struggles to support her girls, ages 3 and 17, as she is employed on an as-needed basis only. Her hours have been restricted with the downturn in the economy. Her teenage daughter is doing well in school and is well taken care of. The family could use a microwave oven, towels, sheets and clothes. The 3-year-old would love a Barbie doll.
Case 97: This 63-year-old disabled woman lives alone. She has multiple health problems including arthritis, respiratory difficulty, sleep apnea and bouts with depression. Due to her medical condition and physical limitation, she is unable to carry out her daily activities. A cotton blanket and a cardigan sweater would make her smile.
Case 98: This 39-year-old, single mother of seven suffers from mental illness that prevents her from working and taking care of her children. She depends on her elderly grandmother who is currently living in the household to prevent the children from entering foster care. Children range in age from 1 month to 14 years, three boys and four girls. They need household items, as well as age-appropriate books, games and gadgets.
Case 76: This single, 29-year-old, working mother of five could really use some help this Christmas. The children range in age from 3 to 12 years, three boys and two girls. All, including Mom, could use socks and coats. Special gifts for the kids might include toys and earrings for the 10-year-old girl.
Case 78: This family could truly use some holiday cheer this season. The young parents are bringing together a blended family of four boys, ages 1 to 9. One of the school-aged children has been struggling with a condition that compromises his ability to stay focused in school and control his behavior. Now that they have the diagnosis and an understanding of what is needed in their home environment, the family is determined to take whatever steps are necessary to build a steady, loving home. With very limited resources, a SYC sponsor could help out a lot.
Case 80: This 35-year-old mother of four works hard every day to provide for her family. Unfortunately, they can only afford the basics. The family consists of Mom, three boys, ages 11 months to 14 years and a 19-year-old girl. The family would really appreciate some pots and pans, clothes for all, linens and toys and games for the boys.
Case 81: This elderly couple lives on a very fixed income which leaves no room for extra spending. They are both retired and disabled. They enjoy listening to gospel music and watching gospel programs on television. The husband has been very ill recently. Any assistance this Holiday season would help make it a joyful one for this deserving couple.
Case 82: This 33-year-old single mother of three children was working full-time until things slowed down at work, and her hours were cut drastically. Mother is barely able to pay bills and now finds it extremely difficult to buy gifts, especially bikes, which all three children have requested for Christmas. In addition to the bikes, the family would be delighted with pots and pans, towels/washcloths, tableware, glassware and clothes.
Case 101: Help bring joy to this single mother and her 1-year-old daughter. Both mother and child are homeless and are relying on a friend for shelter. This new mother is saving every penny she earns to move her daughter into a place of their own. Her sweet baby girl is in need of a new winter coat and she would be thrilled to receive household items or school supplies.
Case 103: This sweet-natured 63 year old woman is permanently and totally disabled. She lives with her disabled mother, on a fixed income, and has little money left for personal needs. Her one wish is for Santa to remember her this year and bring her a comfortable bath robe.
Case 104: A gentle woman of 63 years is in need of a kind heart. This lovely woman had to retire early because of her chronic health problems. Her fixed income pays the rent and basic food costs but never allows for any additional purchases. A gift of warm pajamas would be the perfect end to her long year.
Case 105: This mother of three beautiful children is employed part time. She is seeking a better position to provide more for her children. She would grateful for any kitchenware products and winter clothes for her family.
Case 106: This single mother continues to experience health challenges. She would appreciate any help that can be provided to her and her two children. They truly need new clothes for the upcoming year.
Case 107: An elderly widow with many serious and debilitating illnesses has been left wheelchair-bound. Despite her situation, she still looks forward to a wonderful Christmas holiday. She would cherish a new pair of bedroom slippers and a fruit basket.
Case 108: This young mother is the sole provider for her three young children. She has recently become unemployed and is seeking work as a dental assistant. She is in dire need of nice clothing for job interviews. She would be grateful to see her children receive clothing and books this Christmas.
Case 109: This 76-year-old woman is disabled and lives alone on a limited income. And, without the help of others, she will not get to experience a Christmas this year. She asks that Santa bring her new towels and other household items to put under the tree.
Case 111: Despite all her physical ailments, this elderly lady has maintained a wonderful sense of humor. Her stroke left her confined to a wheelchair but that does not affect her compassionate nature. She really enjoys having her loved ones visit her apartment and would appreciate new items for her kitchen to make this holiday special.
Case 112: Santa needs your help to provide this sweet great-grandmother with a Christmas. She has recently taken on the responsibility of raising her 9-month-old great-grandchild and does not have the means to give her a first Christmas. She could use wash cloths and winter clothes for her family.
Case 113: This single mother of eight is in desperate need of a helping hand. She is working a minimum wage job to assist in providing for her family and is worried her children will go without during the holidays. She would be thankful for any assistance that can help ensure her family experiences a Christmas.
Case 114: This single parent has been faced with serious health problems that have prevented her from full-time employment. She and her two children have been scraping to get by and do not get to enjoy extra luxuries. She would love it if they could all get new clothes and kitchenware this year.
Case 115: This 50-year-old disabled woman is living on a fixed income. Due to her limited income, she has very little room for any extra spending. Her favorite way to spend the day is visiting with family and friends. She would love to receive some perfume to wear when she visits with her family.
Case 320: Multiple health issues keep this elderly disabled man confined to his home. He would be very grateful for any help you can give him this holiday season. He needs full size sheets, boxers and T-shirts in size M, and short sleeve dress shirts size M in beige, brown or white.
Case 321: Being a single mom did not stop this lady from also taking on the care of her nephew. The boys are 8 and 5 and need clothing in kids' sizes 7 and 16 pants, 8 and 14 shirts. Both boys also need school uniforms of polo shirts and khaki pants and would like to have a skateboard, Leap Frog game, and radio. Mom needs wash cloths and would love some picture frames.
