To help these families or any other cases this Christmas, call (919) 684-1508 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Dec. 11.

All contributions go directly to the people who need your help. The sponsors of Share Your Christmas -- the Durham County Department of Social Services, Volunteer Center of Durham and The Herald-Sun -- donate the administrative costs of this program.

Case 272: Limited income makes providing for three children and one grandchild, ages 3 to 16 difficult even though this mother works hard. They are church-oriented, with a supportive mother who attends the children's events and spends quality time with them. Please help this Christmas with some food, personal supplies, household supplies and some clothing.

Case 273: Children 12 and 16 are cared for by their loving grandparents who are living off of their disability income. With multiple health problems they are asking for your generosity in making this a wonderful holiday for their family. Clothing, two MP3 players, digital camera, board games, a king size comforter set are on their wish list. They would be very grateful.

Case 275: Caregiver to her granddaughter, 15, and her mother, 90, this nice lady would like to give a happy and merry Christmas to them both. Clothing for everyone is all they ask for, especially updated clothes for school. Wouldn't it be nice to have several unexpected wrapped boxes as a special surprise.

Case276: Dealing with a lot of transitions and adjustments, this single mother of two children, a boy age 2 and daughter age 9, recently lost her job and is looking for another one. She is seeking just a few items to make their Christmas more festive. Please provide some extra gifts of your own to this family.

Case 277: These two parents are working extremely hard to provide for their family. They provide a safe, stable and loving home for their son, age 2. Needing just a little help to make this holiday season a special one on their limited income, please celebrate with them this holiday season.

Case 278: Teenagers, ages 15 and 20, live with their mother who is working part time at a position that had previously been full time. She has one child struggling with diabetes, and the mother is trying to keep on top of things with a very limited income. They could benefit from your giving, please make this a joyous Christmas for them.

Case 279: After completing a training program, this mother of two boys, ages 12 and 13, has recently found work. The children have developmental and health needs. The mother does the best she can do for her family. A new bike, MP3 players, basketball, board games and other useful items for the home would be wonderful. Please assist them this Christmas.

Case 280: This pleasant mother of three, ages 2 to 9 is very involved with her children. She manages to pay household bills on her limited income but does not have enough for Christmas and a few needed clothing items and toys. One child has a chronic illness and one has special needs. Share Your Christmas with them this year.

Case 281: This family recently lost their grandmother who helped them out and with their mother unemployed, any help you could provide this Christmas would make them happy. Four children and their mother could use clothing, towels, glasses, basketballs and CD music boxes. Your assistance will be appreciated. Show your caring spirit.

Case 282: With limited income, this family of five would greatly appreciate assistance this Christmas. Some interesting requests from the children are a telescope and talking dinosaur. Bikes and clothing, a comforter set and MP3 player would certainly make their holiday special. The mother and father want this to be a Christmas to remember.

Case 284: Legally blind, this 63-year-old woman would benefit greatly this holiday season with your caring support. She would like ballerina slippers and a size medium pink sweat suit. Maybe you could add a few other lovely, soft and warm items for a joyous Christmas.

Case 285: Needing to feel the warmth of Christmas this season, a 66-year-old legally blind man who has had a hard year with his health, is recovering well and would like a new pair of pants and new shirt. Please bring your friendship and kindness to him this holiday season.

Case 286: Three boys and their mother would like to celebrate Christmas in a memorable way this year, with your much appreciated assistance. The mother does work but funds are very limited so providing much needed clothing and extra items of enjoyment are hard to purchase. Please remember them this year with some bicycles, a watch, and cologne.

Case 287: A legally blind man, age 50 only wishes for a queen size Bed N Bag set this year. He would appreciate any kindness you can share with him this holiday season. Delivering his gifts would be an extra enjoyment for him.

Case 288: In spite of having a disability, this individual continues to be an example of grace and dignity to everyone he meets. Being blind can be a challenge that requires patience and endurance. This 53 year old country-western fan would like some CDs by Waylon Jennings and Toby Keith. Enjoy a visit with him as you bring him good cheer this Christmas.

Case 289: After working hard most of her life, this 102-year-old woman tries to manage on a very low fixed income. Stating she was always honest and a loyal citizen she was doing well until recently. She would like pretty black and navy dress slacks and sweaters to match. Please bring joy to this nice lady during the holidays.

Case 290: Trying to provide the best possible life for her 13-year-old daughter, this single parent living on a low fixed income wants to provide nice gifts for her. Clothing, jewelry, slippers and a comforter set would bring much happiness to them as you extend your warm wishes on Christmas.

Case 291: Despite being blind, this 60-year-old woman takes life full force. She has a charming personality and is kind to every one she meets. Her only request is a queen size Bed N Bag. She will appreciate all acts of kindness this holiday season. Make this one special.

Case 292: Working years cut short because of a debilitating illness, this divorced mother of an 18-year-old daughter would like to be able to share a nice Christmas with her. They ask for very little. Unknown to them, maybe you can provide much more during this joyous season of giving to others.

Case 293: Caring for her teenage son and infant granddaughter, this single mother is unable to work because she is taking treatments for diabetes that make her very tired. She asks for an outfit for everyone, educational toys and a queen size bed comforter in green. Any warm and generous gifts will be greatly appreciated. Think of this family for the holidays.

Case 294: Trying to support herself on her small fixed income, this 81-year-old widow has many medical expenses. Her wishes are for a yellow or blue and white with yellow king size Bed N Bag, yellow sheets, yellow warm slippers and a warm bathrobe. Please make this a nice Christmas for a nice lady.

Case 295: In need of clothing and kitchen items, this mother is looking for employment to support her 17-year-old daughter and herself. She does some volunteer work. Jewelry and picture frames would be an added joy to receive and they are thankful for any generosity you will share with them this Christmas.

Case 297: A 66-year-old widower tries to make ends meet on a very low fixed income. With debilitating health issues he resides in a senior citizens apartment. Please help him enjoy this holiday. He would like a black dress hat, nice dress shirt and pants. Add a treat of chocolate coconut candy.

Case 298: Unemployed since March, this mother has little to no income coming into her household. Boys 7 and 3 could use educational books and toys, board games, cars, trucks and clothing. She only wants to focus on their holiday. Please provide a wonderful Christmas for them all.

Case 299: This sweet and loving 83-year-old woman has had the challenge of being blind for a long time. This time of year is special and she looks forward to it. A heating pad and small frying pan plus four salad bowls and full size blue sheets would be appreciated this Christmas.

Case 300: Please provide this active grandmother, 72, who has suffered from several illnesses, with her wishes to bring a nice Christmas to her 6-year-old grandson. He is in her custody and suffers from mild asthma. Clothing, shoes, educational toys, a CD player and bike would be quite special.
