Case 218: The family is homeless and on the Durham Housing Authority priority waiting list. This is a young mother trying to better her situation for herself and her 3-year-old son and they would be most appreciative of your generosity over the holidays. Clothing for the mother, 5T coat and other items would be appreciated. He likes Spiderman. A truck and some books would be nice, too.
Case 203: Make a memorable holiday for this mother of two. She is also caring for her younger brother on her limited income. Ages 7, 10 and 17, they would appreciate new jeans, a DVD player, bedroom shoes, shirts and educational toys. They need your help.
Case 204: Living alone, this disabled lady has chronic arthritic pain and limited ability to handle her personal care. She would be grateful for your kindness in sharing a few gifts this holiday season. A few clothing items that are easy to put on and a purple fleece throw are on her list.
Case 205: After raising eight children, this charming 70-year-old lady appreciates all that is done for her. With medical problems, she follows doctor's order and tries to take care of herself. She has a great sense of humor. This Christmas her family is unable to assist her. She would like a specific church blouse and a pair of blue jeans.
Case 206: This 77-year-old man never had the chance to go to school. He has one sister who lives out of the area and he has not seen her in years. With heart disease and little income, won't you make his holiday a little brighter with some gifts of clothing. Maybe an unexpected gift too.
Case 207: Extensive health problems are part of this 48-year-old lady's life. She has little room for extra spending on her limited income but would appreciate a throw blanket and blue side pouch for a wheelchair, plus some diabetic socks. With her hobbies of reading, music and photography, you could surprise her with another enjoyable gift.
Case 208: Two sets of twins, 11 and 3, live with their loving grandmother who vows to keep everyone together. She is grateful for the extra support provided and needs help to make this a great Christmas. Educational toys, clothing and two bicycles would bring relief this holiday season.
Case 209: This 88-year-old retired nurse's assistant is now disabled and on a very fixed income. Please bring a happy day to this lady with some clothing, gloves, sweaters and maybe some pretty flowers or a potted flowering plant. Make this a beautiful Christmas for her.
Case 210: While always offering a helping hand to others, this lady needs support to bring a merry Christmas to her own family. She is caring for her great niece and also extends her love and care to her daughter and grandson. Slippers, shirts and pants, a nice coat and some educational books and games would make this a joyful holiday.
Case 211: After working hard for many years and now physically unable to work, this 65-year-old woman lives with her little dog. Her wish list includes a desk lamp, two-slice toaster and small and large legal pads with wide rule. Making this Christmas happy for her is not difficult.
Case 212: Dementia has required this 78-year-old lady to live with her two daughters, one of which is her primary aide. She likes to walk around the rooms and watch TV. Having little income they wish for their mother to receive a pretty blue dress and some personal items would be very nice.
Case 213: This 92-year-old woman is content with just a few things, a kind word and a smile. She has done well with limited income and education. She loves fresh fruit. A light-weight jacket and blue dress pantsuit would brighten her spirits during this beautiful holiday season.
Case 214: This mother is struggling to make ends meet by paying the bills and fulfill the needs of the family. Her teenage daughter with her 9-month-old son is in her care. The daughter is attending school and takes good care of her son, but this Christmas they would appreciate your help with necessary items of clothing, personal items and laundry detergent.
Case 215: This 86-year-old lady lives with physical challenges and medical concerns. Living alone she would like for someone to remember her this Christmas with a warm robe and night gown, size M. You could even give her a visit.
Case 216: A pretty blue Sunday sweater, a warm nightgown and some socks would delight this 79-year-old woman as you Share Your Christmas. A retired plant worker with health issues, she has very little extra to spend on necessities. Add a surprise or two to make this an extra special day.
Case 219: A loving lady is caring for her two goddaughters while their mother cannot. She is working very hard to get these children what they need. Your assistance would bring much needed clothing for them all. Share your Christmas by letting them know how much you care. The girls are 2 years old and 15 months old.
Case 221: A recently widowed 41-year-old mother just moved to the area and is seeking employment to support herself and her 10 year old son. Show our community's caring by providing some necessary items such as pots and pan, some pants and shirts and remote control cars or hot wheels. Show our Christmas spirit.
Case 222: This mother and father are going through some difficult times. She is expecting their second child and presently not able to work. Her husband is working hard to support their needs. They have an 18-month-old boy and all three would be grateful to receive some necessary items. Please make this a happy Christmas.
Case 223: Some new queen size bedding with beige in the design, a nice gown or housecoat in pink or blue, and towels for her apartment are the special items this 67-year-old lady would be thankful for during Christmas this year. She maintains a positive attitude in spite of her chronic illnesses.
Case 224: Suffering from COPD and on oxygen, this nice 79-year-old lady is mostly confined to her bedroom. Please make this a special Christmas with your gifts of towels, a double size bedspread in any color and some personal items. A pretty surprise would bring a grateful smile.
Case 225: These special grandparents are providing a much-needed stable environment for their two grandsons, ages 7 and 8. Educational toys and board games, monopoly and memory games that will help them in school is all they ask for this Christmas. A turkey dinner would assist the grandparents in sharing this important holiday together.
