DURHAM — Most City of Durham offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Residents are asked to take note of the following changes in city services:

- The Department of Solid Waste Management will be closed Thursday.

Collection for Thursday customers, which includes solid waste and red zone recycling, will be on Friday.

Customers who normally have their bulky item and yard waste collections on Thursdays will have it moved to Friday.

Customers who normally have their bulky item and yard waste collections on Fridays will have theirs collected on Nov. 30.

- The Waste Disposal and Recycling Center — Transfer Station — will be closed on Thursday and Saturday but will open under its normal schedule on Friday and Nov. 30.

- The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed Thursday through Saturday. It will open under its normal schedule on Dec. 1.

- On Thursday, Durham Area Transit Authority and ACCESS will operate on its Sunday/Holiday schedule in which service is provided from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. DATA’s administration office will be closed Thursday and Friday and will reopen under its normal schedule on Nov. 30.

- Durham Parks and Recreation will close its administrative office, all recreation centers, all neighborhood centers and all indoor rental sites Thursday and Friday. The recreation centers, indoor pools and programs will operate under their regular weekend schedules Saturday and Nov. 29. The administrative office will reopen under its normal schedule on Nov. 30.

- Durham One Call will be closed Thursday and Friday. However, residents may complete an online service request by visiting the city’s Web site at www.durhamnc.gov/departments/onecall or by leaving a message with Durham One Call’s after-hours answering service. All requests will be forwarded to Durham One Call on Nov. 30.
