The North Carolina men's basketball team signed two players to National Letters of Intent on the second day of the early signing period Thursday.
As expected, Reggie Bullock from Kinston and Kendall Marshall of Dumfries, Va., both signed on with the Tar Heels.
"Reggie is a wonderful prospect as a perimeter player," said UNC coach Roy Williams in a statement. "At six feet, seven inches tall, he has the ability to handle the ball and be a fantastic shooter. He is also a good defensive player. He's the kind of young man whom everyone will enjoy watching."
Marshall, a 6-4 guard, attends Bishop O'Connell High in Arlington, Va., -- the same high school as current Tar Heel Marcus Ginyard.
"Kendall is a true point guard," Williams said. "He's a Lenny Wilkens type player --very clever with the ball. I love his unselfishness. Everyone who has played with him wants to be his teammate again. He's a thinking man's point guard who will fit in well with the way we play."
The Tar Heels, along with Duke and four other programs, will find out today whether they'll be receiving a letter of intent from forward Harrison Barnes, considered by many to be the top prospect in the recruiting class. Barnes is expected to announce today on ESPNU around 4 p.m. where he intends to play next season.
