Man arrested in Thurs. break-in

DURHAM -- A Durham man was arrested for breaking and entering and larceny in an incident that occurred Thursday in the 3800 block of Holder Road.

Shane Wallace Williams, 29, allegedly stole a computer laptop, CDs, camera and alcoholic beverages from a residence.

Drugs, weapons, money seized

DURHAM -- Drugs, money and weapons were seized during a search warrant executed Wednesday in the 600 block of North Hardee Street in Durham. Police found more than 60 grams of crack cocaine, more than 270 grams of marijuana, a trace amount of powder cocaine, cash totaling $2,364, a 12-gauge shotgun, a pistol, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.

Two men face robbery charges

DURHAM -- Two Durham men were charged with common law robbery this weekend in two unrelated incidents. Different than a mugging, which occurs outside, common law robbery is an offense during which the perpetrator robs another person using fear and threats to personal safety.

Daniel Lauray, 56, was charged Saturday with common law robbery for stealing $600 from another man. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a metal crack pipe.

Tony O'Brien Williams, 23, was also charged with common law robbery, in an unrelated incident Oct. 28 during which he allegedly stole $300 from another man.
