GREENSBORO -- Duke quarterback Thad Lewis and wide receiver Conner Vernon, who hooked up for the game-winning touchdown in the Blue Devils' victory at Virginia on Saturday, have been honored by the ACC along with Duke kicker Will Snyderwine.

Lewis was named offensive back of the week along with Miami quarterback Jacory Harris, Vernon was named the week's top rookie and Snyderwine was named specialist of the week.

North Carolina's Tydreke Powell also was honored as the league's top defensive lineman, as were Florida State's Rodney Hudson (offensive lineman) and Boston College's Luke Kuechly (defensive back).

Lewis completed 24 of 40 passes for 343 yards against a Cavaliers defense that entered the game ranking first in the ACC and fifth nationally in passing defense, allowing just 151.3 yards per game. Seven of the completions went to Vernon for 103 yards.

The Blue Devils trailed 17-12 before Lewis hit Vernon in stride with 3:45 left for a 42-yard touchdown that keyed a 28-17 victory. It also allowed Vernon to break the school record for freshman receptions with 38.

When Lewis and Co. couldn't get in the end zone, Snyderwine cleaned up, booting five field goals. He connected on kicks of 44, 28, 34, 25 and 43 yards to match the fourth-highest single-game total in ACC history

Snyderwine, a walk-on in his first season at Duke's kicker, has hit 11 consecutive field goals.
