One-stop early voting comes to close; 1,006 cast ballots

DURHAM -- At the close of Durham's one-stop early voting at 1 p.m. Saturday, a total of 1,006 voters had cast early ballots in the city's municipal election, 181 of them on Saturday.

Durham voters go to the polls on Tuesday to vote for mayor and three City Council slots. The races are non-partisan.

In the mayoral race, incumbent Bill Bell is challenged by Steven Williams.

In Ward 1, incumbent Cora-Cole McFadden faces challenger Donald Hughes.

In Ward 3, incumbent Howard Clement is challenged by Matt Drew.

And, in Ward 3, incumbent Mike Woodard faces Allan Polak.

Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
