CREEDMOOR -- A second-quarter safety was all the difference South Granville needed to stay perfect in the Carolina-9, clinching at least a share of the conference title.
With the score tied at 7, the Vikings picked up two points when a long snap went over the Red Wolves' punter's head and out the back of the end zone.
South Granville then took the ensuing drive the distance, finishing on a 25-yard Josh Thorpe touchdown run late in the first half to put the game out of reach.
Ian Bosley led the Vikings, rushing for 76 yards and a score on 28 carries. Jake Geary and Brent Burchette each scored a touchdown for Cedar Ridge.
